Mr. Newell has 20+ years of experience in employment and career services, workforce, education, and economic development. He has provided career services in the K-12, community college, and California State University systems. His guidance and expertise have been requested by California State University (CSU) and the University of California (UC) institutions, private universities, jesuit universities, community colleges, adult education programs, K-12 education, and international delegations in higher education. He serves as director of a Silicon Valley career & entrepreneurship center at a public college in the East Bay Area. His career center currently holds two federal subcontracts to support career development and employer/business services under the US Department of Labor (DOL) and the US Small Business Administration (SBA).

Mr. Newell was named a "40 Under 40" most influential business leader in SiIicon Valley by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and has been awarded for his work in innovating career services by the California State Senate. He was appointed by the president of the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE) to serve on a special presidential task force to support NACE employer engagement initiatives. Mr. Newell has served in leadership and advisory capacities to career centers throughout the Greater Bay Area and has provided insight to university representatives from across the globe. He has advised thousands of recruiters and met with local, domestic and international talent acquisition teams to help develop their recruitment strategies. His work has been featured in FORBES, Entrepreneur, ABC, University Business Magazine, and many other media outlets. FOX News announced Mr. Newell as a "Latino on the Rise" and he has been recognized by his city council, mayor, and even a state senator for his innovation and success in career development services and leadership.
Mr. Newell was a first-generation college student and holds a master's degree in Public Administration and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from San Jose State University and also received an Associate of Arts degree in Labor Studies from San Jose City College.
